The mall

If there is one place that makes my stomach turn wanting to launch a whole new deposit in porcelain town, it’s the Mall. Just the sight of the place gives me visions of newly re-furbished plaid coated car sales men just waiting to greet me with a “Hi! How are you!!” followed by a uh,hah or hm, mmmmm that comes from deep within the master puppeteers of corporate land a place were nice people go to die and are reborn not as the Village people , but alas the Vanilla Race.

They have titles; look like manikins, actually I think it’s a dress rehearsal for “Future robots of America coming soon to a store near you”...Mmmmm, how do you draw a fake smile on a laptop that is not really interested in greeting you but wants your dollars…

Ok, not all people that work at the mall are Droids or money hungry scrooges, most are just trying to earn a living….Its really the companies that they work for that make me want to heave.

I rarely come here and when I do It gives me the same reaction as I get when I’m in a religious church, Oh, the light just went on, This is where religious people come to shop …It fits, if they can tolerate the Institution they attend on Sundays and the corporate invoirment they work in, then the mall should not be any different, just another place where they are told what to do, Right.

The Mall has replaced the village square, only difference is when you went to the village square you enjoyed fresh air mmmmmmm, met friends ,had great conversations, caught up the with local news and probably had a quick pint at the local before going home to share about your day with the good old Fam. The great thing about the village square was the relationships, if you did not like the price of something you and “Walter” the Haberdasher would haggle until you both came to a fair price, plus you also had the back up of Jake the maintance man, Sandy the publican, Andrew the veggie stall guy and local friends who gave their 2 cents worth on the deal. Try doing that at the mall….

”That’s $25 dollars Mam”; “I’ll give you $20”…”That’s $25.00 Mam”, “OK, $21.50”…..” That’s $25.00 Mam”,…… “Ok, $21.75, that’s $25.00 Mam…… “Ok can I see the manager”………, “I’m the manger Security we are at Orange alert!!!!!

But they greet me at the mall , they are nice, would you date a nice guy or nice woman, no back bone, they have been trained to be corporate nice and brain washed with a title so that they will work for nothing, I could go on, this land of associates, its all physiology

Let me see its Saturday , you walk from the kitchen through to the garage climb into your car, with the touch of a button open the garage door, drive to the mall, park, walk through the automic doors into air-conditioned, headache lighting  corridors lined with stores that are eagerly awaiting your plastic with grossly inflated prices , some even say sale ..40%  70% of ….but you say it’s a deal, what a bargain…listen  Mac fly you have been conditioned since birth and prepared for this moment by Corporate land, to think , dress,  , talk ,eat, drink , sleep and act like them , the best part is you don’t even realize it. They have you hook line and sinker.

Lets be realistic that blouse you just bought on sale for 45 bucks can be bought at a store in Hong Kong for 8.50 , their still making a good profit , you look at the original price $75.00 Oh me Oh My what a lot of misinformed people have just gone buy, buy, buy.

Then they have $30 of M.S.R.P = manufactures susjested retail price = it was never a real price to begin with, don’t worry it was all part of your conditioning in America where most people never question anything besides they can charge it and the card is probably owned by the store  etc ,etc, etc

I grew up in Europe wore Italian shoes $25.00 same shoe in America WAS $125.99 now on sale $84.99 plus a 10% discount if you buy 2…Now let me see the European retailer is crazy , misinformed, on ProZazk, no he is still making a good profit, the American corporate outlet is making a killing.

The truth will wake you up, set you free, Question everything, debate, become a born again educated shopper and bring all your friends with you = people power, let them know that your not just an individual, but a corporate community that will not pay grossly inflated corraprate prices.

Ok, I’m Done here, now I’m of to put gas in the car?????……..to be continued
