Thirty minute challenge and the road a head :0)

Thirty minute challenge ;0)

This morning I was up at 2:30 am wide-awake, the reason being I had given myself this new challenge of 3 to 5 hubs a day. So yes, my brain has kicked into over drive. I have not felt a passion this strong for a while, that is to write as much as I intend. Therefore, I got up prayed and went for the keyboard and the first thing to come to mind was the motorcycle story I wrote earlier (Motorcycle dispatch riding in London 1985) I believe that was the title.

Then at 6:00am I put on my motorcycle gear and headed to First student school bus garage to drive an early morning route. Yes I,m a school bus driver and love it. I had driven for about ten years before on call. I quit when we moved to Bend for about two years. I have always had a carpet cleaning business, but early this year I felt it was time to start writing again and begin to trust god as a starving writer, after all, it is my passion.

My wife Cynthia is supportive and even told  me that she would support us financially until I got off the ground. She is also a writer and will be on hubpages shortly. Interesting thing when I finally made the decision to be a full time writer my carpet business began to slow down; it was like the end of something old and the beginning of a new career.

Shortly after that, I was at a parade in Portland with Cynthia and she got talking to a woman sitting next to us. Turns out she was a school bus driver and drove for an old friend of mine… Ok, God I thought, back to school bus driving perfect job for a writer. I had been praying about starting it again and got my answer at Pioneer square. God takes care of all the details if we will just trust him :0)

I feel as if I am on a new adventure, using my talent with God and Cynthia at my side. Where this road is going I have no idea, all I know is, it is the next step and the future is in his hands.

One thing about this new lemonade diet we are on is we are both feeling much better mentally and physically plus the fact I have a tread mill to get the blood flowing.

One other challenge I have is to finish the two books I have been writing, I was making great progress for a while and then I got busy and the flow stopped and when that happens it’s time to take time out until it flows again.. I didn’t stop writing just tried other topics Columns etc

Well I think it’s time for a short nap and of to drive a trip at noon I will have a 2 hour layover so that will be hub no 3, what it will be about, will know when I get there :0) Mean while thanks for reading and being a part of this Irishman’s life.
